PART

by Christina Fox
The HVR-Z5 is Sony's professional 16:9 camcorder with 3 1/3-inch CMOS
sensors. It can record in HDV, DVCAM and DV.
Sony refer to it as a hybrid camera because it can record on to tape
and Compact Flash - if you have bough the Sony HVR-MRC1K
solid state CF (Compact Flash) memory recorder.
The camera is now widely available and we
are now running Z5 camera training. |
This is the shorter online version of my course manual.
I will add pages over the coming weeks. If you need more detailed help

The Z5 is the direct replacement for the Sony Z1 camera. It started
shipping in December 2008 and was launched in Europe at the IBC (International
Broadcasting Convention) in Amsterdam - September 2008.
We did a review
of the Z5 just before its launch which is still available on this
site.
